Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are officially back in theaters this weekend with the MCU’s first movie of the year, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (known for the recently canceled Wonder Man), this sequel brings Tom Holland’s titular web-slinger back into action for his most drama-filled solo movie in the MCU to date. Alongside MCU regulars like Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, this movie pits Peter against arguably his most terrifying adversary to date, all while he deals with scary changes in his body and a world unaware of Peter Parker’s existence.
