Location, Location, Location! Radisson Blu – Leicester Square
If you’re heading to London and want a hotel smack bang in the middle of everything yet so quiet and peaceful you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re in the middle of nowhere, Radisson Blu Leicester Square is the hotel for you.
Located at the bottom of Leicester’s actual square, the lobby design is sharp and contemporary with Crittal style doors, a smart, chic check-in desk and a really cool library and lounge area. The lobby also has its own entrance into The Leicester Square Kitchen.

What to Expect from the Rooms at Radisson Blu Leicester Square
The rooms might be old style but my suite was absolutely huge, with awesome views out across busy buzzy Leicester Square. It’s got to be one of the most brilliant (and iconic) views in London and I spent far too long just starting out of the window people watching! I was also pleasantly surprised that I couldn’t hear any outdoor noise – the insulation on those windows must be super strength!

Equipped with a gigantic bed, sofa, coffee table, TV and dressing area, the bathroom was where this hotel suite really came into its own. A large mirror with an extra magnifying mirror, shower caps, toothbrushes and toothpaste, flannels… there were even bath salts should you require a relaxing soak in the large tub.

There were also two showers – one over the bath and separate power shower cubicle which was so powerful it felt like the massage jets you’d find in a spa. Perfect for a pre-dinner wake up and quick muscle relaxation after a long day exploring London. The Urban Apothecary handwash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner were so good, I went straight online and bought some for my own bathroom – the smell is quite incredible!
The Leicester Square Kitchen
The Leicester Square Kitchen is a popular Leicester Square destination restaurant in its own right and has one entrance on the square and one leading directly into the hotel lobby. I always find that it’s a great bonus not having to take a coat and also magically being able to leave your dining table and literally be tucked up in bed in 5 minutes flat!

It’s a beautiful restaurant and bar area with black brick and marble interiors, exposed columns and industrial finishes. It made me think immediately of New York style bistros with quite a maximum but super slick vibe. The food is a mix of Mexican and Peruvian twists on classics and there’s also a great breakfast offering in here. A black Americano brought to my table via waitress service was most welcome after a late night and far too many cocktails, and the accompanying ordered-off-menu avocado and eggs on sour dough with a hint of chilli was absolutely delicious. For breakfast diners, there’s also a full hot and cold buffet with meats, cheeses, sausages, bacon, and a juice station.

Whether you’re visiting London for a city break, a theatre break, shopping or culture, this London stay is definitely one that made travelling around the capital oh so easy. With its enviable Leicester Square address, a good restaurant on site and spacious rooms, Radisson Blu Leicester Square is a great choice for anyone who wants to minimise their time travelling around the city, and more time experiencing it!
