Gemstones and Time: Harry Winston Unveils the Talk to Me High Jewellery Watch Collection

The design language at the House of Harry Winston develops with an uncompromising commitment to extraordinary gemstones, like a continuous conversation between the past and present. The new Talk to Me, Harry Winston high jewellery watch collection proves it. Borrowing its moniker from Marilyn Monroe’s iconic 1953 declaration, “talk to me Harry Winston, tell me all about it,” in Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, the collection highlights how the New York High Jewellery House interprets its famed heritage through contemporary, ultra-exclusive horology.

The concept of high jewellery timepieces is rooted deeply in the history of the “King of Diamonds,” where gemstones dictate their own extraordinary settings. The four unique watches in this collection are best discussed as a group, even though each one is a standalone object. This is because the four watches share an identical and highly controlled architectural foundation. Each model relies on the ultra-thin HW1051 quartz movement, featuring a five-jewel construction focused strictly on hours and minutes. Boasting compact and thus elegant dimensions, the cases (water-resistant to 30 metres) feature sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coatings on both sides.

The defining feature of the collection is the fluid, carpet-style bracelet. Set in deliberate geometric patterns, the choice placement of coloured gems and diamonds creates a seamless and uninterrupted loop of light around the wrist.

The Yellow Diamond variation (Ref. HJTQHM14YY003) stands apart, framed in an 18k yellow gold case measuring 24.7mm in diameter. The yellow gold dial is paved with 83 brilliant-cut yellow diamonds (~0.30 carats), while the platinum and 18k yellow gold bracelet is heavily embellished with 213 brilliant-cut diamonds (~50.11 carats) and anchored by a central line of 12 dramatic Asscher-cut yellow diamonds (~10.66 carats).

The remaining three models are presented in 24mm platinum cases, swapping dials for a full white diamond setting of 70 brilliant-cut diamonds (~0.25 carats) but introducing distinct rhythms through coloured stones.

On the Emerald model (Ref. HJTQHM13PP005), the bracelet features 276 brilliant-cut diamonds (~25.52 carats) and eight marquise-cut diamonds (~0.14 carats) punctuated by 37 vibrant, marquise-cut emeralds (~4.59 carats) that shift elegantly depending on how they catch the light.

The Sapphire (Ref. HJTQHM13PP007) and Ruby (Ref. HJTQHM13PP006) timepieces utilize an identical white diamond matrix of 204 brilliant-cut diamonds (~17.13 carats) and 42 marquise-cut diamonds (~5.18 carats). The Sapphire iteration brings in a velvety contrast via 72 brilliant-cut blue sapphires (~9.56 carats) and three central marquise-cut sapphires (~1.14 carats). The Ruby version introduces a highly concentrated red, pairing 72 brilliant-cut rubies (~9.80 carats) with three focal marquise-cut rubies (~1.14 carats).

Behind the collection is a process that relies heavily on precision and expert gemmology. Available strictly at select global Salons as unique creations, these timepieces transcend standard watchmaking, moving beyond mere ornament to become wearable works of master-tier art.
