Will Smith is officially stepping back into pure action hero territory, taking the lead role in Supermax, a new high-stakes action thriller from Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax. Currently filming on location in New South Wales, Australia, under the direction of the genre-bending filmmaker David Gordon Green, the movie stars Smith as Rex, a determined FBI agent trapped in a deadly puzzle-box mystery alongside his partner, played by AnnaSophia Robb. The dynamic duo must work together to try and solve a seemingly impossible murder committed deep within the impenetrable walls of the world’s most secure prison facility.
