The history of two iconic studios hanging in the balance while billionaires jockey for position at the top of the mountain. After Netflix pulled out of the running earlier this year, Paramount-Skydance’s David Ellison has been hunting for Warner Bros. The company has a storied 103-year history, one I covered in my 2023 book The Warner Brothers, which details the founding family’s influence on some of Hollywood’s most legendary productions. Now that the merger is complete, a new age has begun.
