Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition is here, and as an ork player, these deals on the Armageddon boxed set are proving too tempting for me to resist
For the Waaagh! There’s never been a better time to get into, or get back into, Warhammer than the launch of a new edition. Games Workshop’s little sci-fi-themed plastic miniatures are usually prohibitively expensive, but new editions often come with large bundles of miniatures sold at a discount with the core rules of the game, centred around Space Marines fighting a different enemy each time.
This year is no different. With 11th Edition and the Armageddon box set arriving earlier this month, it’s the mean, green, chaotic alien foe known as orks that get the spotlight — the set contains full armies of 23 Space Marines and 38 orks, along with core rules and accessories. As someone who used to collect ork models, these Amazon Prime Day discounts are proving too tempting to resist.

If you’re in the US, you can grab a stellar $50 discount on the Armageddon set, available on Amazon US for $249.99 (was $299.99). However, there are only a few left, so you’ll need to move faster than a jump-pack equipped assault marine to get one.
In the UK, the discount is a little less good, as the Armageddon box set is available on Amazon UK for £167.50 (was £174.01). However, while that 4% discount looks small, it’s already cheaper than Games Workshop itself, which prices the Armageddon set at £185, so it’s actually a £17.50 saving rather than a £6.50 one. Enough to get yourself some more paintbrushes with the difference, because by the Emperor you’re going to need them.
