I have long had a passion for bleak media, as I’m one of those people who find sad music oddly uplifting and movies a means of introspection on difficult topics. Bleak movies can definitely make you think. It’s also possible to admire people who can experience the lowest and most tragic parts of our collective existence and make art out of it. When you’re feeling down, you realize that even in the hardest times, there are sparks of inspiration.
