Most of the greatest TV crime dramas have clear endings. The protagonist (or antihero) either dies or lives happily ever after. In other instances, they lose everything or go to jail. Interestingly, the greatest TV crime drama of all time has the most confusing ending. Years later, fans are still divided about the cut-to-black conclusion of The Sopranos. Some think it’s genius (including me). Others feel it ruined a near-flawless show.
