While Game of Thrones was once the only live-action adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series, the smash-hit HBO fantasy epic is no longer alone. Since Game of Thrones ended in 2019, both House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms have been created as prequels to the original show. While I maintain that most of the franchise’s best efforts still come from Game of Thrones itself, the spin-offs have also contributed some stellar efforts already that just about scrape into the top 10.
