The mainline Stranger Things series may have come to an end in 2025, but that hasn’t stopped Netflix from exploring other sides of Hawkins. While plenty of speculation surrounded “extra” or “hidden” episodes added to the final season of the original series that helped the streaming service rise to prominence, the IP’s continuation has taken the form of an animated series. Helping fill the gap between seasons, Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 features many of the original characters (voiced by new actors), along with some fresh faces, as they investigate and confront new larger-than-life threats. Tales from ’85 also takes the opportunity to showcase parts of Hawkins viewers haven’t seen before.
