Sergio Leone is one of the greatest directors of all time. The Italian filmmaker was a leading figure in the Spaghetti Western genre, best exemplified by his Dollars trilogy, which made Clint Eastwood a star through his portrayal of the Man with No Name. The first film in the trilogy, A Fistful of Dollars, is still regarded as one of the greatest Westerns out there. Yet it was eerily similar to a samurai film released three years prior by another legendary filmmaker.
