PwC and ULI See Industry Navigating “Fundamental Reset”

Broader opportunities, favorable conditions for existing assets, functioning debt markets and repricing all have created attractive entry points, PwC and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) said in the newly released Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2027 report. However, success will require investors and operators to “adapt, navigate higher rates and make more complex decisions amid continued uncertainty,” according to the annual report’s 48th edition.
The report explores eight interconnected trends, from the rise of artificial intelligence to demographic shifts, that reveal an industry navigating a fundamental reset as economic pressures, demographic change, policy shifts, technology and new development models reshape how real estate is financed, built, operated and valued. The firms best positioned for 2027 will be those that can distinguish short-term disruption from lasting structural change, and adapt their strategies accordingly, according to PwC and ULI.
For the third consecutive year, PwC and ULI have named Dallas-Fort Worth the #1 market to watch. To access the complete report, click here.
