Onur Erzan, President, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of AllianceBernstein, effective April 1, 2027. He will succeed Seth Bernstein, who will be retiring effective March 31, 2027, after nearly a decade leading the firm. Bernstein will continue to serve on AB’s Board of Directors. Erzan assumed the role of President in January 2026 and oversees AB’s Private Wealth Management, Global Private Alternatives and Global Asset Management Distribution businesses, in addition to the firm’s Strategy and Corporate Development functions. He has served on the Equitable Holdings Management Committee since 2021 and, following the close of the previously announced merger between Equitable Holdings and Corebridge Financial, will serve on the company’s leadership team, headed by Chief Executive Officer Marc Costantini.

Bryson Kern has joined Managed Funds Association as Vice President & Senior Counsel, Regulatory Affairs, according to a press release. Kern will lead MFA’s tax advocacy, working with members, policymakers, and regulators on legislative and regulatory developments affecting the alternative asset management industry. Prior to joining MFA, Kern served as a Tax Knowledge Management Attorney at McDermott Will & Schulte. Previously, he spent approximately a decade at predecessor firm Schulte Roth & Zabel.

Fort Washington Investment Advisors has expanded its institutional business development presence into the Southwest and West Coast regions of the United States with the addition of Evan Lyons and Erik A. Schonberg as vice presidents, business development officers. According to a press release, Lyons joins Fort Washington with more than 20 years of institutional investment industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, he served as senior director within the institutional client group at Allspring Global Investments (formerly Wells Fargo Asset Management). Earlier in his career, he held institutional sales positions at Susquehanna International Group and Merrill Lynch. Schonberg brings more than 25 years of institutional investment sales and consultant relations experience to Fort Washington. Prior to joining the firm, he served as managing director, consultant relations and institutional sales for Ballast Asset Management in Dallas. Previously, he was director of institutional sales at Barrow Hanley Global Investors.

Apex Group has appointed Jørgen Ouaknine as Global Head of Digital Markets Infrastructure & Wealth Distribution based in New York. According to a press release, he joins Apex Group from Euroclear, where he most recently served as Global Head of Innovation & Digital Assets and Head of Products Americas. Prior to that Ouaknine held senior leadership roles at BNP Paribas across strategy, transformation, digital innovation and international banking.

Capitolis has named Jon Gizzie as Senior Vice President, Head of Innovation for Capital Marketplace. According to a press release, he has more than 30 years of experience helping large financial institutions use their balance sheets and capital more efficiently. He joins Capitolis from Citi, where he spent more than two decades and most recently served as Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Resources Management for Citi’s Clients Group.

BitGo has appointed Greg Cipolaro as the new Head of Research, according to a press release. Cipolaro joins BitGo following the Company’s recent acquisition of NYDIG’s institutional trading business, where he served as Global Head of Research. In that role, he built and led a research franchise recognized for its coverage of bitcoin and digital asset markets, publishing regular market commentary and analysis relied upon by institutional investors, allocators, and corporates navigating the asset class.
