Who said that the western genre is dead? Not Netflix, because the streamer’s latest 7-part western thriller is officially one of the biggest shows in the world. Netflix already found tremendous success earlier this year with its dark and gritty Little House on the Prairie adaptation (which has been renewed for a second season). The streamer has also lined up an adaptation of Larry McMurtry’s Lonesome Dove, which is now in development. But it’s the new adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic that’s blowing up on streaming.
