Not only was the concept of a life-or-death competition that gave its winner a massive sum of money executed effectively, but it also resulted in audiences themselves wondering how far they’d be willing to go to secure such a bounty. In one of the more bizarre expansions of the concept, the streamer developed the real-life competition series Squid Game: The Challenge, in which contestants recreated the original show’s games, though with less deadly consequences.
