The James Bond movie franchise has been running uninterrupted since 1962, when Dr. No opened in theaters and made Sean Connery a star. Nearly half a century later, Daniel Craig made his debut as James Bond in 2006 with Casino Royale, bringing a new level of vulnerability to the character. After four more films, he finally bid goodbye to the role in 2021’s No Time to Die. That means he played James Bond for 15 years, longer than any other actor.
