Since its inception in November 2019, Apple TV has exclusively offered original content. But having become a subscriber in the last six months or so, I was fairly shocked to see how few original movies and TV shows the streaming platform had to offer. Although the number of exclusive TV series roughly doubles the movie catalog and continues to boast extremely popular originals like Ted Lasso, Severance, Silo, and more, the plan to usher in quality over quantity on the cinematic front officially ended in August 2026.
