IPI Lists Cloud PCI Suite on Genesys AppFoundry

IP Integration (IPI), the Reading-based contact centre solutions provider, has listed its Cloud PCI secure payment suite on Genesys AppFoundry, the solutions marketplace used by customers across all Genesys platforms. The product is available immediately under two licence tiers and integrates directly with Genesys Cloud CX.

The move places IPI’s payment security tooling inside an ecosystem used by a large base of enterprise contact centres, bypassing the need for separate procurement and integration work. Cloud PCI can be provisioned through the Genesys administrative portal, which the company says enables rapid deployment and centralised billing.

Cloud PCI comprises four modules designed to address different payment scenarios within the contact centre environment. Pauseable automatically suspends call recording and data capture at the moment a customer provides card details, allowing quality assurance and analytics data to continue being collected around the payment event without capturing sensitive cardholder information. Agent Pay enables live voice payments without routing card data through the agent desktop or internal systems. Pay by Link sends secure payment requests across SMS, email and webchat, with card data fully isolated from the contact centre environment. IVR Assist supports self-service payment capture via interactive voice response, reducing PCI exposure while handling volume at scale.

The standard licence bundles Agent Pay and Pay by Link. The premium tier adds IVR Assist. Pauseable is sold separately as a standalone product.

Steve Murray, director of CX solutions at IPI, said: “Cloud PCI enables organisations to take control of that moment, removing sensitive data from their environment and reducing PCI scope without interrupting the customer experience. It also ensures organisations retain full visibility across interactions, supporting quality assurance, analytics and AI insight that are often lost through traditional compliance approaches.”

Regulatory and market context

PCI DSS v4.0, which became the only active standard after version 3.2.1 was retired in March 2024, introduced stricter requirements around authentication, cardholder data environment scoping and targeted risk analysis. Contact centres represent one of the more complex compliance surfaces: payment data crosses voice, digital and agent-assisted channels simultaneously, and the scope of what constitutes a cardholder data environment can expand rapidly if recording and analytics systems are not isolated correctly.

The market for PCI-scoped contact centre tooling is competitive. Established players such as Sycurio and PCI Pal address similar use cases through comparable modular architectures, and several large cloud contact centre vendors bundle compliance tooling directly into their platform licensing. IPI’s advantage in this positioning is distribution: listing on AppFoundry places Cloud PCI in front of Genesys’s existing customer base at the point those customers are already managing their contact centre stack, lowering the switching cost relative to a standalone vendor relationship.

The broader regulatory direction also matters. UK and EU regulators have progressively tightened expectations around payment data handling in customer service environments, and the FCA‘s Consumer Duty framework, which requires firms to demonstrate good outcomes across customer interactions, adds a further commercial reason for contact centres to demonstrate auditable payment handling.

IPI said further product additions to its Genesys AppFoundry presence are planned for the coming months, though no specific roadmap items were disclosed.
