Despite bombing at the box office, Hugh Jackman’s new R-rated action thriller is officially the number one movie on streaming after a single day. After years of playing Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, Hugh Jackman capped off that run (before Deadpool & Wolverine undermined it all) with James Mangold’s Logan. The film was unlike any other superhero movie before it, placing the hero in a gritty, neo-western road trip movie to save the new generation of mutants. It was dark, R-rated, and intensely violent, and easily better than anything the MCU has pumped out. Earlier this year, Hugh Jackman gave another beloved character the Logan treatment, and it just landed on streaming.
