Hotel Added to Broomfield Mall Redevelopment Plan

A still-unbranded 150-room hotel will be included in plans to reposition the FlatIron Crossing regional mall in Broomfield. Besides the hotel, the updated mall will feature 90,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space, along with 347 apartments, when it’s complete. Broomfield is just north of Denver.

The Denver Business Journal reports Macerich, the mall owner, expects to reveal the hotel brand by the end of the year. The hotel will include rooftop amenities. It is anticipated to open in the fall of 2028. The addition of the hotel will likely increase the redevelopment to $300 million.

Novel HiFi, a residential development from Crescent Communities, is halfway through construction. The apartment building has been topped out and is set to open in phases, with the first 45 units coming online next summer.

A 160,000 square foot Dick’s House of Sport is set to open in summer 2027. It will replace the mall’s existing Dick’s Sporting Goods store.
