Henry Cavill will likely forever be the favorite to play James Bond. The British actor auditioned for the role before it was awarded to Daniel Craig for Quantum of Solace. While it’s unlikely that Cavill will play 007 in Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming James Bond reboot (as Amazon MGM Studios apparently wants a young actor), he technically already has… kind of. In 2024, Henry Cavill led an all-star cast in Guy Ritchie’s explosive Second World War action movie. As well as being an entertaining film in its own right, it has very unexpected ties to the 007 franchise, as Cavill kind of played James Bond before he was known as James Bond.
