I watch a lot of TV for work. Woe is me. I know. But when you watch a lot of TV, you start to realize there’s a lot of TV, and only a portion of it really gets you excited. For every Succession,there are a hundred shows that put together a great cast for a fun idea but fall flat in execution, especially in the streaming era, where dozens of movie franchises have received TV spin-offs, and there’s a general air of mediocrity that feels a far cry from the Golden Age of Television.
