Guillermo del Toro’s horror classic will be given a new lease on life this upcoming Halloween. There’s no name more synonymous with horror than del Toro, the mastermind behind iconic films such as Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone, and Crimson Peak. Even his romance and superhero films have an element of horror, whether that’s vampires in Blade II orhalf-demons from the depths of Hell in Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The Shape of Water featured an immortal humanoid amphibian creature winning the heart of Elisa Esposito (Sally Hawkins), a mute cleaner at a high-security government lab, which took home the Best Picture Oscar.
