One of the darkest fantasy anime in years (which even gives Berserk a run for its money) is making a comeback on yet another platform. After debuting in 2018, the series quickly became a memorable hit for its unflinching portrayal of fantasy violence. Its worldbuilding was dark, brutal, and, because of that, very controversial. The first episode in particular was subject to a lot of scrutiny from audiences for one specific moment (if you know, you know). But the show hasn’t shied away from its dark fantasy aesthetic and murky morality, making it the perfect Berserk replacement.
