Gal Gadot Calls Out DC Studios Over Firing Henry Cavill From Superman Role
In 2022, Warner Bros. embarked on a major strategy shift for the DC Universe, moving away from Zack Snyder’s DCEU story and naming James Gunn and Peter Safran the co-CEOs of the newly-formed DC Studios. This included recasting nearly every major hero and villain from the old franchise, which was previously led by Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and more. However, with the DCEU still running during Gunn and Safran’s takeover, the transition did not come without some mishaps.
