Somehow, after years upon years of displaying a particular set of unmatched skills that would make even the most unstoppable, world-ending villain quake in their boots, The Dark Knight and Spawn star Michael Jai White remains one of the most underrated icons in the action genre. While the likes of Jason Statham may (deservedly, of course) be a household name these days, with his own genre in the self-titled “Jason Statham Movie,” White deserves to be far better known than he currently is. And he’s putting The Stath’s action icon standing to the test as he too takes down countless human traffickers in this month’s new action thriller.
