Fontaines D.C. kicked off their 2026 arena tour in Lisbon last night (Wednesday October 21). Check out the footage and full setlist below.

The Dublin band’s first show of the European leg took place at the MEO Arena in the Portuguese capital, where they treated fans to a 19-song set (per Setlist.FM).

Grian Chatten and co. are out on the road in support of their critically acclaimed fifth studio album, ‘Dopamine Chamber’, which was released last Friday (October 16).

They played eight cuts from the record in Lisbon, including recent singles ‘Marianne’, ‘Tongue’ and ‘Where Is Gone?’. Completing the selection of new tracks were ‘You Miss Me’, ‘Happy For You’, ‘Mimesis’, ‘Japan’ and ‘Six Shot Morning’.

During ‘Where Is Gone?’, Chatten headed out into the crowd on a long runway while holding up the Palestinian flag. He sang both parts in the absence of Rosalía, who features on the album version.

Fontaines appeared on a silver stage, in front of a shimmering matching backdrop that displayed their band logo. At times, the members were illuminated by vivid lighting, following the aesthetic theme of ‘Dopamine Chamber’. An ‘FDC’ sign also hung from above.

They showcased numerous favourites from their 2024 LP ‘Romance’, too, such as ‘Here’s The Thing’, ‘In The Modern World’, ‘Bug’ and ‘Starburster’.

The group aired some classics from earlier in their career with the likes of ‘Boys In The Better Land’, ‘Jackie Down The Line’, ‘Roman Holiday’, ‘Big Shot’ and ‘I Love You’.

On Twitter/X, one fan hailed the set as “absolutely magnificent” while praising the “insane” crowd in Lisbon. Someone else described the closing rendition of ‘Six Shot Morning’ as “so ethereal”.

Another user called the performance of ‘Where Is Gone?’ “gorgeous”. You can see those posts and the full setlist below.

The band’s current European tour continues in Madrid tonight (Thursday October 22), ahead of a show in Barcelona on Saturday (October 24). Further dates are scheduled in Italy, Serbia, Czechia, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

From there, Fontaines will head to the UK for arena concerts in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and London.

The group are due to play some huge gigs in the UK and Ireland next summer, including two nights at Slane Castle and a double-header at Manchester’s Heaton Park. Support on the UK stops comes from Little Simz and Viagra Boys, with Hayley Williams opening in Ireland.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Fontaines D.C. will headline Primavera Sound in Barcelona next June. It comes after they topped the bill at Reading & Leeds and Electric Picnic this August.

The band launched ‘Dopamine Chamber’ with an intimate performance at London’s Roundhouse last week, and have recorded a session for a special episode of Later… With Jools Holland.

In a glowing five-star review of the album, NME wrote: “The biggest Irish band since U2 have now also secured themselves as the definitive band of this decade on ‘Dopamine Chamber’ – an extraordinary record for extraordinary times. Amidst all the hiss and the decay, Fontaines have made something pure, honest and feeling while in exhilarating motion. Now you see who they are.”

‘Dopamine Chamber’ comes after Fontaines’ recent contributions to the soundtrack to Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man and the War Child ‘Help(2)’ album.

In a new interview, frontman Chatten has revealed that he is planning another solo record, and wants to make it “a lot more lively” and “festival-ready”.

Elsewhere, the vocalist said that Fontaines D.C. were unaware that AI had been used to help make the music video for ‘Marianne’. He said the group would be writing “into our contracts going forward that it can’t be in our music videos”, and that they “don’t condone it”.
