On January 30, 2023, James Gunn laid out his plans for the future of the DC Universe, simply titled the DCU. The initial announcement featured five films and five television projects, spanning different genres and exploring the vast corners of the shared universe. In the years since, some of these projects, such as Superman, Supergirl, Creature Commandos, and Lanterns, have been released, while new titles like Clayface, Mister Miracle, and a series centered on Jimmy Olsen and the Daily Planet have been announced.
