EasyJet will pay for your child’s first passport

Some new parents will put travel to the side until the newborn is a little older and the family has adjusted to the fundamental life change that comes with raising children.

Others, meanwhile, will apply to get their newborn a passport within weeks of birth and start trying to pass their love of travel to their baby from its earliest days.

For the latter (or anyone who otherwise needs to travel with a newborn for any reason), British low-cost airline EasyJet has launched a promotion in which it will give parents of a child under two years ago a £66.50 ($89) discount on a trip they book through the company’s packaged holiday branch. The amount includes the application fee for a child’s passport in the U.K. and is part of the carrier’s “Welcome To The World” promotion for young families.

EasyJet to give families with newborn child £66.50 discount to pay for their first passport

“Travel has a unique way of bringing families together, and a baby’s very first holiday is often one of those moments parents remember for years to come,” Stuart Wright, customer director at EasyJet Holidays, said of the offer. “By covering the cost of a baby’s first passport, we’re helping more families start making those memories that little bit sooner.”

While £66.50 is the price of applying for a five-year passport for any child younger than 16, EasyJet’s offer targets specifically parents with children younger than two years old.

Prior to launching it, EasyJet conducted a survey of 2,000 parent travelers. The survey revealed that one in 10 admitted that they only discovered a baby needs a passport while planning a trip while 82% called a baby’s first holiday a landmark family moment.

EasyJet holiday booking data also found a 10% increase in parents traveling with infants between 2025 and 2026.

The promotion is being marketed with the help of British animated film icon Peppa Pig, who breaks down the to-do steps on applying for a baby’s passport in the UK (the hardest part is getting such a young child to stay still for the photo) in a video alongside a captain who flies for the airline.

EasyJet is the largest low-cost airline in the United Kingdom and the second-largest in Europe.

How to take advantage of the EasyJet passport promotion

The EasyJet offer will run until 11 p.m. GMT (6 p.m. ET in the U.S.) on Nov. 26 and can be used to book any of the package holidays sold through EasyJet.

At the moment, the company is advertising deals on beach holidays in Mallorca and the Canary Islands, family trips to Disneyland Paris, and all-inclusive resorts in Türkiye and Egypt as well as other tours to destinations popular with Brits.

To use it, travelers booking through the EasyJet Holidays website should put in the FIRSTPASSPORT promo code when entering the payment details.

Most European and North American airlines allow children to travel free of charge on their parent’s lap until they are two years old. As a result, the EasyJet discount lowers the price of the overall family holiday rather than covering a child’s portion of it.
