There were a few movies I rewatched countless times when I was a kid, and Toy Story was at the top of that list. The Pixar series followed Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang as they grappled with their purpose as toys, leading them far beyond Andy’s bedroom into the great unknown. But nearly a decade before the franchise began, Disney released another movie with an anthropomorphic cast of characters, exploring the same themes of what it means to have purpose and truly belong.
