Disney Reportedly Finds Its Next Beloved Classic to Get Live-Action Adaptation
First reported by Deadline, Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo is looking to co-write a live-action take on Disney’s 2009 animated movie The Princess and the Frog. While it does not appear to be a live-action remake of the original movie, it is reportedly being developed as an untitled story centered on Princess Tiana. Domingo is said to be writing the project with Tony-nominated director Robert O’Hara, known for his work on Slave Play. Notably, The Princess and the Frog was the last Walt Disney Animation movie that was created through hand-drawn animation rather than 3D CGI.
