Rarely is the Greatest of All Time debate fiercer than in the anime community. Everybody believes that their favorite series is the GOAT. But there are only a few shows where everyone unanimously agrees upon their greatness. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is one of those shows. Written by Hiromu Arakawa, the manga was adapted into an anime in 2009, running for 64 episodes and widely considered one of the best of all time. Since then, Brotherhood has been the benchmark that other anime strive to achieve. Crunchyroll recently dropped its latest action fantasy series, and, rather than competing with Fullmetal Alchemist, it feels like a spiritual successor to the series. Not surprising, considering its manga was written by the same author.
