The debut season of Ahsoka had its highlights, from the first live-action appearance of Thrawn to the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, but it was the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll who stole the show. The Force user and former Jedi Knight expanded Star Wars lore by hinting at a brand-new philosophy undefined by the Jedi or the Sith, and Stevenson’s imposing and calculated performance brought a certain gravitas to the universe it hadn’t seen in years.
