Animation is the most underestimated medium of storytelling, and I say that as someone who has spent years watching people dismiss entire TV shows because they’re “just cartoons.” But the limits of what animation can do visually, be it the creature designs or the movements, extend considerably further than in live-action because the budget constraints are different, and the only curb is what a team of artists can imagine and execute.
