If you are on the hunt for a steamy, twisty thriller to add to your watchlist, it’s pretty difficult to scroll through streaming without running into one of Ryan Murphy’s campy cinematic universes. Whether it’s a drama about a serial killer targeting prep school teens, or an anthology series about the life and murders of Jeffrey Dahmer, over the past five years alone, Murphy has created, co-created, or produced several new television series — American Horror Story, Monster, All’s Fair, The Beauty, and The Shards being a few of his buzziest recent titles. While their quality is up for debate amongst critics, there is no denying that Murphy’s quantity and viewership numbers are wildly impressive.
