Joseph Kosinski’s career has continued to thrive on legacy sequels and new iterations of beloved franchises and cult classics. Films like Tron: Legacy and Top Gun: Maverick best illustrate the kind of IP the director works best with. The director’s latest movie, F1, starred Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem and became a massive success for Warner Bros. and Apple, earning the title of the ninth highest-grossing movie of 2025 as well as Apple’s highest-grossing film. Moreover, F1 earned four Academy Award nominations (including Best Picture). Kosinski’s back-to-back success with his last two films has generated hype for his next project, which has just received an exciting update.
