Ryan Larsen has joined Junto Capital Management as a Trader, according to a LinkedIn post. Larsen joins Junto Capital Management from Jefferies, where he spent more than seven years in electronic and program trading. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Electronic Trading, a position he assumed in December 2024. Before that, he worked in Electronic & Program Trading from July 2019, based in New York. Larsen began his career at Jefferies as an Equity Sales & Trading Summer Analyst in 2018.

Tom Zhang has been promoted to Director- EMFX Asia Trader at HSBC, according to a LinkedIn post. Based in New York, Zhang has served as interim head since March 2026 and was formally appointed to the position in October. In his new role, he oversees market-making, risk management, liquidity provision and trading strategy across Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European currencies. Zhang has been with HSBC since August 2022, initially joining as an Emerging Markets FX Asia Trader before becoming Director in February 2024. Prior to HSBC, Zhang spent more than seven years at Barclays, where he held several foreign exchange trading positions in New York and London.

Citi has welcomed Michael Zezas as their new Head of Research, according to the company’s post on LinkedIn. He brings nearly two decades of senior leadership experience in equity and fixed income research, spanning multiple asset classes, regions, and market cycles. Zezas joins from Morgan Stanley, where he spent more than 19 years and most recently served as Deputy Head of Global Research, a position he assumed in January 2026. Previously, he was Global Head of Fixed Income Research from March 2023 to January 2026. Before that, he served as Head of Global Thematic Research and Macro Product, overseeing research covering market themes, public policy and macroeconomic developments.

Marex Group has announced that Chair of the Board Robert Pickering has stepped down from the Group Board. He joined the Group Board in September 2021 before becoming Senior Independent Director in March 2022 and Chair of the Board in October 2023. According to a press release, Pickering has been succeeded as Chair by John Pietrowicz, a current member of the Board and Chair of the Group’s Mergers and Acquisitions Committee. John joined the Group Board in April 2024, having previously served as Chief Financial Officer of CME Group from 2014 until 2023.

Evercore has announced that Philip von Malsen-Plessen has joined the firm as a senior managing director in its investment banking business. According to a press release, he joins Evercore from UBS, where he spent nearly 30 years and most recently served as vice chairman of global banking EMEA.

Violaine Ferrandez has joined Marshall Wace as a Trader in London, according to a LinkedIn post. Ferrandez joins the hedge fund from Citi, where she spent more than five years in its Markets division, most recently serving as Vice President, Electronic Equity Sales Trader. She was promoted to Vice President in January 2026, having previously served as Assistant Vice President in electronic equity sales trading from January 2024 to December 2025. Ferrandez joined Citi in July 2021 as a Graduate Analyst in Markets before moving into electronic equity sales trading as an Analyst in July 2022.
