Paramount’s 3-Part Spy Thriller Masterpiece Fixes the Biggest Problem With Taylor Sheridan Shows
Taylor Sheridan’s shows have plenty of memorable female characters. Yellowstone has Beth Dutton, 1883 has Elsa, 1923 has Cara, and Landman has a whole family of women orbiting the protagonist, Tommy Norris. The problem isn’t that they don’t exist; it’s that they experience trauma instead of solid character arcs. Female characters in Taylor Sheridan’s shows are either rescued, avenged, or sidelined, while the surrounding men do the actual decision-making.
