Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson has become the grizzled (complimentary) face of aged action thriller cinema thanks to his role in the 2008 modern no-nonsense classic, Taken. While there had been several before him, Neeson’s elderly (curiously, he was only 55 when he made the movie) action hero and his particular set of skills opened the floodgates for an assortment of similarly senior cinematic icons to also lock and load, including Denzel Washington, Jeff Bridges, and Bob Odenkirk.
