Prime Video’s “Amazing” New Ridley Scott Sci-Fi Action Sequel Officially Begins Next Month
In 1982, Ridley Scott directed Blade Runner, a sci-fi movie based on the short story “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Philip K. Dick. Blade Runner is about a former police officer (Harrison Ford) who hunts down rogue bioengineered humans called replicants. The film was a failure at the box office but became very influential in the years to follow. It finally got a sequel in 2017 with Blade Runner 2049, helmed by Dune director Denis Villeneuve. Once again, it underperformed even as it garnered critical praise.
