13 Years Later, Hugh Jackman’s 153-Minute Gripping Crime Thriller Classic Is Being Eyed for a Remake
The tradition of remaking movies into television series has grown increasingly popular over the years, as creatives have found that long-form episodic storytelling gives characters room to breathe and develop. One recent example is the Apple TV series Cape Fear, a story adapted into a feature film twice. The story was transformed into a streaming series starring Javier Bardem and Amy Adams, turning the films’ tension and psychological thrills into something longer and more intense by giving it an episode count instead of a feature-length runtime. It was only a matter of time before another film became a limited series, with a new project in development based on a film that originally starred Hugh Jackman.
