‘Doctor Who’s Original Plan for Ncuti Gatwa’s Exit Was Far Superior
Regardless of how it’s handled when Doctor Who returns, Ncuti Gatwa’s regeneration sequence in “The Reality War”, which marked the end of the Fifteenth Doctor’s era, will go down in history as one of the show’s biggest mistakes. Although behind-the-scenes obstacles such as the Disney deal falling apart make Gatwa’s exit understandable, I haven’t seen anyone react positively to the last-minute introduction of Billie Piper as Gatwa’s successor.
