Prem Rugby extends deal with trading platform Etoro

Trading platform Etoro has extended its partnership with Prem Rugby

Trading platform Etoro has extended its partnership with Prem Rugby as it solidifies its growing status within sport.

The agreement began in 2023 but a fresh extension will see the deal extend into a fourth season, with the firm sponsoring the league’s predictor activation across social media. It is also the league’s official coin-toss partner at this year’s Prem Rugby final at Allianz Stadium.

The Prem Rugby extension will sit within a Etoro sponsorship umbrella that includes football clubs Arsenal, Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Leipzig, and the Alpine Formula 1 team.

Elsewhere the trading platform has deals across basketball, rugby and women’s sport.

The firm’s Stephanie Wilks-Wiffen said: “There is something familiar about the way rugby supporters weigh up form and value before backing a side, and that instinct travels quite  naturally to investing.”

Etoro solidifies umbrella

Etoro will continue as a Prem Rugby sponsor alongside title partner Gallagher, as well as other sponsors Defender, London Pride, Funding Circle and Buffalo Trace.

Kelly Cooke of Prem Rugby added: “To have the backing of a leading global trading partner like Etoro as we enter the 30th season of the Gallagher Prem is brilliant news for the league and our clubs up and down the country.

“We’re excited for this to continue and look forward to bringing fans even closer to the game through new and exciting activations.”

Prem Rugby is looking to ride a recent wave of investment with the likes of Bill Foley’s Black Knight and vacuum cleaner magnate Sir James Dyson coming into the sport.

AFC Bournemouth owner Foley added Exeter Chiefs to his sporting portfolio, while Dyson took a 50 per cent stake in Bath.

Last year energy drink firm Red Bull acquired Newcastle, while a number of other clubs – including Gloucester and Northampton Saints – are reportedly in talks with overseas investors.
