Almost every available member of the original Scrubs cast has already shown up in the revival, but Season 2 is looking to make it an even more complete reunion. Showrunner Aseem Batra, a writer during the sitcom’s golden age and the replacement for former showrunner and creator Bill Lawrence during the modern era, has suggested in an interview with Deadline that an actor who appeared in 49 classic Scrubs episodes isn’t just coming back to reprise his role, but that he’s ending his retirement from the industry to do so.
