Over the last 40 years, Brad Bird has made himself into one of the biggest names in animation, largely through his work with Disney and Pixar. Along with Ratatouille in 2006, Bird earned massive success through his work on The Incredibles in 2004, which earned rave reviews and became the fourth-highest-grossing movie of the year at $631.4 million worldwide. He reached even higher peaks with the Parr family’s return in 2018’s Incredibles 2, which also placed fourth overall for the year but grossed an astonishing $1.2 billion. While that sequel was Bird’s most recent movie, he is now back in action with a story he has wanted to make for years.
