Some of the best sci-fi TV shows lasted for several seasons. The X-Files, arguably one of the best in the genre, lasted nine seasons, then came back more than a decade later for two more. There are even two movies. Orphan Black, one of my favorites in the genre (and overall), had a solid five-season run. Person of Interest, a network procedural that I consider one of the most underrated sci-fi shows, lasted just as long. But sometimes, a great sci-fi series doesn’t need multiple seasons to get its point across.
