Russell Crowe has spent the last several years carving out a niche as one of the more dependable heavies in the business, whether that’s the road-rage menace of Unhinged, the scenery-tasting fun of The Pope’s Exorcist, or the string of authority figures and antagonists he’s played in genre fare since. Not all of those movies were good, frankly, and a few were streaming filler by any honest measure.
