Netflix’s Upcoming “Roman History With a Sci-Fi Twist” Series Is 15 Years in the Making
With the original game releasing in 2007, and 13 mainline games releasing since, it’s undeniable that Assassin’s Creed is a pillar of the action-adventure video game genre, especially when examining it at its peak, which is widely considered to be the early 2010s. Over its nearly 20-year existence, this series has created a variety of iconic characters — most notably Ezio Auditore da Firenze, if you ask me — and told many impactful, creative, and engaging stories. Knowing that, it makes sense that a studio would jump at adapting a live-action version of it.
