Netflix has found its next crime thriller sensation in a very unexpected place. Netflix has dropped some massive crime thrillers this year. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck reunited for The Rip, which blew audiences away on streaming, and Marvel vets Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson led the insanely good His & Hers, which is one of the platform’s biggest shows to date. But in late August, Netflix dropped its most anticipated crime thriller to date. While its release on Netflix was slightly controversial, it hasn’t stopped the action-packed and crime-laden extravaganza from becoming a giant hit.
