When NBC dropped Line of Fire into the Monday hour behind The Voice this fall, the pitch was clear enough: a family of law enforcement agents, a routine case that curdles into a conspiracy, and Peter Krause back on network television for the first time since 9-1-1 killed off Bobby Nash. The cast has been filling out steadily since the pilot got its series order in May, though, and the newest name on the call sheet carries more NBC history than the rest of the show put together.
